Lori's Destination: The Amalfi Coast February 15 2016

Reason to go: On the south side of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula is the Amalfi Coast, a favorite vacation spot of mine. Drive the coast between Solerno and Sorrento and stumble upon lemon groves, vineyards, and colorful fishing villages. The drive and view from above is breathtaking, but the small pebble beaches and clear water of the Tyrrhenian Sea below are just as beautiful. Littered with grottos, bays and fjords this is a picturesque shoreline with steep cliffs and hills that are wonderfully inspirational. The uniqueness of the sea meeting the mountains makes the Amalfi Coast truly unique and breathtaking.

Where to shop: While you’re in the area, take a sunset cruise to Capri and make sure to try on a pair of Canfora Sandals, the world famous handmade sandal from Capri, worn by the likes of Jackie Kennedy and Grace Kelly.

What to wear: The Amalfi coast exudes sophisticated glamour and European elegance. If you're headed that way, be sure to pack accordingly. Here's a peek inside my suitcase:

(1) The Lori Coulter Ann Plunge One-Piece in Black, (2) Eau Thermale Avene's amazing Hydrating Sunscreen with SPF 50, (3) Michael Kors Santorini Raffia Tote, (4) Missoni's Green Caftan, (5) Thierry Sunglasses, (6) Tracy Watts Large Fedora and (7) Irene Neuwirth's Round Link Gemstone Necklace from Barney's.
